SPACE GAMBUS EXPERIMENT:- To be honest..I don't really buy  music CDs..even this one here, I accidently, stumble upon it from my dear husband- Moloko. Whenever he puts any of his collections  on air..I myself will ended up listening to the albums that he listened to..and that's includes this one here that I'm reviewing right now. What seems to trigger me because..it's a work of my fellow senior whom we used to study together in the same IPT years ago..and I simply cannot recalled who is this electronica experimentalist, artist, visionary, researcher...etc.

SGE the album..to me as a person who in loved with fashion & teaches this subject for an honest leaving..I may say it's a soothing, cosmic fusion blend of sounds that's suites for my lounging sessions on the lazy weekends. Not only that..this album is a statement of future..That we Malaysians a gaining our recognitions not only in Fashion Industries, but also musically(electro-ambient)..or the best word is ART!

Very ambitious leap for Kamal and team..I sincerely think that few of the tracks in this album can be a suitable beat for a CatWalk song..provided the theme of the design should be aligned with the same subject that Kamal are trying to present. It's an elegant futuristic Instrumental album, SGE also invites listeners to not only judge this album musically, but also technically..and artistically.

Space Gambus Experiment is a 10 tracks of Sci-Fi cosmic Instrumental sounds..Created with a blend fusion mix of Electro-Acoustic by Kamal Sabran himself, gearing up with his most loyal collaborator Zulkifli Ramli, on Gambus (Oud). SGE is an independent album..released by the same TEAM lead by Kamal Sabran..and it only cost you RM$20.00 to make it to be send in front of your door steps. It's Made In Ipoh..A PURE Product Of Malaysia..and it does grab my ears and attentions..so why not you...

ME, MARANGONI, ANTONIO BERARDI & JUNK BOOKSTORE'S AT AMCORP MALL, PJ

The Venue; MARANGONI FASHION SCHOOL, MILAN, ITALY 2002.

This is the place when I 1st met him. A handsome looking guy, with a confident suave characteristic, a very talented already a superstar designer, but gifted with a mouth of a Ray-Gun. He is a very strict person who devour fashion very very serious, & above all that he is my lecturer while I'm doing my MA's in Marangoni years ago.

This book or a memoir about the designer himself 'ANTONIO BERARDI; SEX & SENSIBILITY. The book is based on close collaboration with Berardi. It contains over 150 images,including previously unpublished drawings & specially commissioned photography. further more the book includes a chronology of Berardi career. Readers are given a chance a close look on the unique insight into the preparations for a show.

The book is highly recommended for designers who very much fancies the idea of rock scenes, & bold experimental edge of fashion design. Influences ranging from fetish costumes, biker's outfit, & lots of corsets involved. Towards my surprised, this book was bought by my husband in one of the Junk Bookstore located in Amcorp Mall, PJ. He bought it for RM$10.00, before lend it to me as a gift. He knew that Antonio Berardi used to be one of my lecturer, & he's a nasty one too. But I believe he meant no harm, it is his passions in delivering his knowledge to all the young designers, including myself at that time in Marangoni.

FASHION BOOKS:THICK & WORTH KEEPING

This two books is as thick as bundle of bread, but as heavy as a sacks of kilo's of rocks. But in a positive side, it is a very informative books. In writing & from the graphic content itself, it is certainly a must own for a blooming Fashion Designers or Fashion Student;

1. THE PEPIN PRESS - COSTUMES; Is a vast collection of wonderful illustrations of costumes from all over the world ranging from Europe, Middle East, The African Continent, & also from Asia Itself. The Illustration are presented in a B&W classics form pencil etching that simply elegant to referred at. Best to be kept as a references for your 'BRAIN STORMING' costumes design idea & historical identification on how people dress up at certain part of the century. Available at most of major Book Stores in Kuala Lumpur.
2. TASCHEN - FASHION NOW; A compilation of The World's 150 Most Important Fashion Designer compiled in a single book. A must have because it talks about brief info about the Bios of the designers picked from all over the world. A part from that this book also offers a captivating snapshots of the design created by all the designers that had been reviewed in this book. Ones also may find this book best to be owned due to it detailing, discussing the concepts, idea's, subjects or the theme that inspires all the 150 designers in this very book. Widely available in most major MPH Book Stores; Mid Valley & One Utama(New Wing).

Books is part of the many things that I've loved to do. Don't forget to tuned in for more. I'll will keep you updates with my best picked of the books that I guess will give a great impact for young designer to equips themselves in creating something that very much boost up with what I call a WOW!
