ME, MARANGONI, ANTONIO BERARDI & JUNK BOOKSTORE'S AT AMCORP MALL, PJ

This is the place when I 1st met him. A handsome looking guy, with a confident suave characteristic, a very talented already a superstar designer, but gifted with a mouth of a Ray-Gun. He is a very strict person who devour fashion very very serious, & above all that he is my lecturer while I'm doing my MA's in Marangoni years ago.

This book or a memoir about the designer himself 'ANTONIO BERARDI; SEX & SENSIBILITY. The book is based on close collaboration with Berardi. It contains over 150 images,including previously unpublished drawings & specially commissioned photography. further more the book includes a chronology of Berardi career. Readers are given a chance a close look on the unique insight into the preparations for a show.

The book is highly recommended for designers who very much fancies the idea of rock scenes, & bold experimental edge of fashion design. Influences ranging from fetish costumes, biker's outfit, & lots of corsets involved. Towards my surprised, this book was bought by my husband in one of the Junk Bookstore located in Amcorp Mall, PJ. He bought it for RM$10.00, before lend it to me as a gift. He knew that Antonio Berardi used to be one of my lecturer, & he's a nasty one too. But I believe he meant no harm, it is his passions in delivering his knowledge to all the young designers, including myself at that time in Marangoni.

FASHION BOOKS:THICK & WORTH KEEPING

This two books is as thick as bundle of bread, but as heavy as a sacks of kilo's of rocks. But in a positive side, it is a very informative books. In writing & from the graphic content itself, it is certainly a must own for a blooming Fashion Designers or Fashion Student;

1. THE PEPIN PRESS - COSTUMES; Is a vast collection of wonderful illustrations of costumes from all over the world ranging from Europe, Middle East, The African Continent, & also from Asia Itself. The Illustration are presented in a B&W classics form pencil etching that simply elegant to referred at. Best to be kept as a references for your 'BRAIN STORMING' costumes design idea & historical identification on how people dress up at certain part of the century. Available at most of major Book Stores in Kuala Lumpur.
2. TASCHEN - FASHION NOW; A compilation of The World's 150 Most Important Fashion Designer compiled in a single book. A must have because it talks about brief info about the Bios of the designers picked from all over the world. A part from that this book also offers a captivating snapshots of the design created by all the designers that had been reviewed in this book. Ones also may find this book best to be owned due to it detailing, discussing the concepts, idea's, subjects or the theme that inspires all the 150 designers in this very book. Widely available in most major MPH Book Stores; Mid Valley & One Utama(New Wing).
